AI is as bad as it will EVER be, right now, today. Just look where we’ve come in the last 12-24 months… it’s already changed the game and it BARELY works for shit atm.

Hard truth - Any task done on any digital medium/platform/hardware/software, and not done by human body physical labor, WILL BE usurped by AI in the next, 5 years, give or take.

ALL OF IT.

History is littered with “technological” jumps where the status quo cried… “it’ll never go mainstream/replace us/be in every home/think or write like a human”.

And if you believe that, and postulate staunchly in this moment as such, you’re destined to become a sign post of every other ill-conceived, short sighted notions of the past.

We either learn to harness it’s frighteningly fast evolving power, like a bull rider desperate to stay on top of an angry beast, and hold on for dear life while at the same time, mandating that we retire our hubris and accept the writing, all over literally everything already, or get pummeled into the dirt by it.

It’s coming for all our creative endeavors at best, and all our jobs at minimum.

Every single one of us, and I’m here for it, trying to hold on for my eight seconds on the beast.

Thank you for this. I also use AI to assist me in a way similar to what you briefly laid out.

In my case, especially when I’m short on time, I'll dictate my post for the week and then ask Claude to tidy it up.

After some chunky editing, I’ll consider it ready for publication.

I occasionally notice Claude getting a bit inventive, which is something to watch out for.

You’ll be happy to know Chuck Tingle already published a hilariously titled book of erotica drawing on the AI book review fiasco. Anyway, I think that humans are needed at the moment, but the craft may become a quirky relic as AI learns how to do better. Believing human artists have some special sauce is kind of “woo woo” — I’d like to believe it, but not really sure I do.

I know what you're saying... BUT... if we're really at the "end of the line" and all we have is a false belief that we have some kind of "special sauce," then there we are! Quirky Relics clinging to the raft, I guess. Depends on how long we think we have.
